Playgroup

Promotes social, language, and cognitive development through interactive play and activities.

Level 1 (Learn & Play): Suitable for 1-2 years old; ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT / GUARDIAN

The weekly course aims to help parents develop children's language, motor and visual-sensory skills via stories, songs and art. Students learn though movement, play and interaction with others.

Level 2 (Fun for Pre-School): Suitable for 2-3 years old; UNACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT / GUARDIAN

Children can learn to share with others and learn how to socialise with others through interactive games and dramatic storytelling. Fairy tales, songs and phonics incorporated help build vocabulary. This course aims to motivate preparing the child for kindergarten life.

Completion of the Programme: A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to students who have completed at least 24 hours of lessons or a Learning Tree Playgroup Level.

Letterland Phonics Courses

Teaches phonics using engaging characters and stories to develop reading and spelling skills.

Letterland from the UK is the main programme used to teach phonics at Learning Tree. The programme provides fun & creative ways to help children learn how to read, write & spell with confidence.

Its friendly letter characters provide strong visual memory cues so children learn and retain phoneme/grapheme correspondences, making learning simple and fun. Letterland pictograms work in accordance with recognised principles of memory. They act as memory aids.

The Letterland phonics program covers all 44 sounds of the English language and all the major spelling patterns, as well as word building, spelling and reading through multi-sensory activities, songs, games, animations, art & crafts and stories. Our centre uses a fully-developed interactive computer program each lesson so children can learn in an enjoyable, interactive way. The pronunciation aspect will be the main focus to ensure your child pronounces words with the clarity of a natural English speaker.

Talking Trinity Oral Courses

Prepares for Trinity oral exams, enhancing speaking and listening skills.

• Write your tLearning Tree prepares students for all Trinity College of London GESE Tests, Trinity College English Exams are recognized in local schools and accepted internationally as a benchmark for English proficiency. The examination covers eight topics which will be systematically incorporated into our program to prepare children for the exam. Our programme focuses on the eight topics needed for the initial stage, students will be given more time throughout the programme to practice these areas in order to better prepare them for the exam.

• The exam is not compulsory for students enrolled in our Trinity programme, it will be optional for students requiring certificates. Exams will usually take place near the end of the school year in June, or alternatively in October, depending on children's readiness.ext here...

Putonghua

Mandarin classes focusing on speaking, listening, and comprehension skills.

Learning Tree provides theme-based Putonghua programme taught by native Putonghua teachers, children learn common Putonghua words and phrases in a friendly and natural environment. Topics are related to daily usage with various interesting themes - children will find themselves enjoying their theme-based lessons that include fun activities such as oral discussion, story reading, singing, interactive games and activities. Children learn to play and communicate with each other in a group setting while establishing a strong foundation in Putonghua for future learning. The course covers a range of areas, from vocabulary and sentence building to oral practice and story reading as well as some poetry and reading. It helps to enhance children’s confidence in using Putonghua, enabling children to incorporate the language into their daily life with ease.
